Why BizHealth Prioritises Your Privacy
At BizHealth, we offer a range of on-site services including workplace vaccinations, skin checks and general health checks. Whilst these services are convenient, efficient, and ensure that your employees are safe and proactive with their wellbeing, they can often raise questions about how your privacy is protected.
Above all, we are committed to patient confidentiality and privacy, so you can be assured that when you receive BizHealth services, your data is also protected. We operate in line with Australian privacy laws and medical data compliance.
Let’s find out how.
Australian Privacy Laws:
Legally, BizHealth has an obligation to adhere to the Privacy Act 1988 and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs). This means that all medical data, consent forms and vaccination records are treated with high sensitivity and stored securely.
Our team of professionals are bound by medical confidentiality and handles all patient information with sensitivity and privacy.
BizHealth And The Employer:
A common concern with our workplace services is: Will my manager have access to my medical history?
Although we make plans and organise the workplace services with the employer, we act as an independent medical provider, and no information will be shared with your employer whatsoever. Your employers only receive unidentifiable data (i.e. 70% of the workforce has received the flu shot).
We do not share:
- Consent forms
- Medical History
- Private Data
- Health Condition Reports
Secure Booking Systems and Data Protection:
When we bring our services to you, we have an online booking system that makes securing your spot easy. Even our online booking system is encrypted to protect your data, so your employee information, medical consent forms and medical history are secure, encrypted and safe from any authorised access that doesn’t include our medical professionals.
What happens next?
Medical data is only kept as long as is legally required on record, and is securely destroyed afterwards.
How Privacy Drives Success:
We’re dedicated to keeping your data and information secure and private. This is our top priority and focus, but it’s also great for us at BizHealth and your business. How?
- Building Trust: When your employees trust that their data is 100% secure, they trust the program and the business to promote their well-being.
- Higher Participation: As a result of their trust, they are more likely to participate, which leads to herd immunity within your workplace and reduces absenteeism and cultivates a safe working environment.
- HR Compliance: As we ensure that data is secure and we uphold compliance, you can promote a safe service for your employees with confidence that sensitive data is well-handled and won’t cause further complications.
As a result, your employees feel safe, and your business can create a positive working culture, whereby employees are healthy and engaged.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ’s)
Will my employer know if I choose not to participate in the service?
No. We do not share employee-specific data with your employer, and participation in our services is entirely voluntary. Your employer may receive vague information, like 70% of the workforce participated, for billing purposes.
Are on-site nurses bound by the same confidentiality as local GPs?
Our professionals are registered nurses and medical professionals, so they are bound to the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) guidelines, just like your local GP. They are required to adhere to professional codes of conduct and Australian Privacy Principles, so your on-site visit is just like visiting your GP, only more convenient, fast and easy.
Do you share my vaccination record with my doctor?
Under Australian law, BizHealth are required to report any administered vaccines to the Australian Immunisation Register (AIR). As this is a national register, your GP will be able to access your immunisation history.
